WILDI Guide to Birthstones & Star Signs

It is said that the day we are born holds a significant amount of information about who we are and who we'll become in this lifetime. One of the first things we "choose" in this life (by being born) is our birthstone and star sign which we carry with us for our entire lives.

So, which birthstone are you? Why do some people have more than one birthstone? And how does it all align with your star sign? Ready to learn more?

Birthstones are gems associated with a birth month, each stone has a unique meaning and significance. Birthstones have been a part of modern society since ancient times and it is widely believed that wearing your birthstone is a symbol of wellness and good fortune. Over time, some stones became more costly, rare, or completely unavailable hence why many months now have 2-3 corresponding stones. While that may be the case, we have chosen the below stones are the primary birthstone we offer in our WILDI Birthstone Collection, coming in 2022.

January: Garnet
February: Amethyst
March: Aquamarine
April: Clear Quartz
May: Emerald
June: Moonstone
July: Ruby
August: Peridot
September: Lapiz Lazuli
October: Opalite
November: Citrine
December: Tanzanite

So how do Birthstones and Star Signs connect? Well, they don't really, other than through us! Your star sign is based on a different kind of calendar, so while every birth month has a corresponding birthstone, it has 2 corresponding star signs depending on the time of the month. Wild!
